dad I miss you

If I only had 5 minutes before you passed away,
I would have had time to tell you all the things I needed to say.

I never got to tell you how much you mean to me,
Or that you were the best dad, and a better husband than any man could be.

The last time that I talked to you
I wish I would have known.
I would have said I love you,
and would have been able to say so much more.

the morning you passed away,

Time flies and as cousins we all grew up somehow did not spend enough time together. It has been a learning experience reading the memories from family and friends and peeking into the life Mike lead. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mikey, I knew you my whole life and we shared so many times together with the families. You took my sisters and parents in to your home and you were always there. I have fond memories of Mike with his shy half smile and unique laugh. I am sorry that so much time had passed since I saw him and a lot of you. I am certain he has a welcome committee cooking up some great food (our aunts, my mom & grandma, not to mention so many other family that have passed on). I have known Mike for 12 years because of Lisa. Mike is an individual who would help anyone that needed him. Mike, I hope your eternal rest is full of peace as love from us all is sent your way. It's been quite a while since I've seen or spoken to you, but not so long since I thought of you. In fact I think of you often, with friendship, gratitude and love. You saved me dear friend, and for that I will be eternally grateful. When we meet again, I'll gladly pour the coffee.

I was so sorry to hear of the news about Michael. I met him a couple of years ago while meeting Janeal and family (Lifepath Hospice). I will hold you all in my thoughts during this difficult time. My sincere condolences to you.

I just wanted to send out my condolences to all the Family and Friends who were dear to Mike. He was always around when I was little, always trying to make us Jones girls laugh with a tickle here and there. It will be empty next time I visit my mom and he will not be there, or to help move her to various parts of the western U.S. Even if the couches catch on fire, he was always there to help out! :). I will miss you Mikey!
