Farr West – Joyce Katherine Sheldon Brennan, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 21, 1916 in Napoleon, North Dakota the daughter of Archie and Mary Reynolds Sheldon. She attended Napoleon Elementary and High School. She married Leonard Brennan June 17, 1947 in Ogden, Utah; he preceded her in death in 1994.

Joyce was one of the founding members of St. James Catholic Church and served as a Lector and was a member of the promoters of the Sacred Heart.

She was past Assistant Vice President of Commercial Security Bank. She volunteered for the Golden Hours Center and was a member of American Business Women’s Association. She enjoyed golfing, gambling, family activities and camping.

Joyce is survived by her children, John (Diane) Brennan, Chris (Lou) Eddy, Cathy (Bob) Strunk, Paul (Cezanne) Brennan, Pat (Sherrie) Brennan, Terry (Debbie) Brennan and Tom Brennan; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings and granddaughter Rosie.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at St. James Catholic Church, 495 North Harrison Blvd. Friends may call on Monday, November 2nd at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Interment will be at Washington Heights Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice, Westwood Village friends and close friends at St. James Catholic Church.
